This is the vacation where you do it all! Experience Belize’s exotic inland jungle for 4 days at one of Belize’s premier eco-lodges before heading south for 3 days at a unique beach hideaway. Include our add-on the Tikal and Yaxcha in Guatemala to make your experience complete.

Day 1
Transfer from Belize City to duPlooy's with an optional stop at the Belize Zoo.

Overnight - duPlooy's Jungle Lodge

Day 2
Horseback ride to Xunantunich, a Maya Site, for a guided tour of the ruins and lunch afterwards at a popular, nearby local restaurant.
                    OR
Canoe down the Macal River to San Ignacio, wander around town; enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch visit Xunantunich for a guided tour before returning to duPlooy's.

Overnight - duPlooy's Jungle Lodge

Day 3
Today is your day to explore on your own.  Your vehicle (late model Suzuki Sidekick or equivalent) will be delivered to you at duPlooy's where you will be supplied with a map and suggestions on places of interest.

Day 5, 6 & 7
Travel south over the beautiful Hummingbird Highway to Placencia. Along the way, stopover for a picnic lunch at the Inland Blue Hole. In Placencia you will board a small boat for your short ride to French Louis Caye. 

For the next 3 nights this 2-acre island will be your own private hideaway. The surrounding reef provides excellent snorkeling anytime you want; kayaks are available for use or; if you prefer, there are several hammocks strung in the palms inviting you to do nothing. Accommodations are somewhat rustic, but entirely appropriate for beach living and there is a comfortable dining room where you will feast on just-caught seafood and fresh vegetables.

3 Overnights - French Louie Caye

Day 8
A short flight on a small twin engine plane will take you back to Belize International Airport for your trip home or onward destination.

Extend your vacation an extra day and include an overnight trip to Tikal and Yaxha in Guatemala.  These are both major Maya sites and well worth the extra time.

For an extra day with Tikal overnight, add $175 per person; for both Tikal & Yaxha - add $225/each. (Belize border fees not included: US $18.75 pp).

Important: A Belize Departure Tax of US $ 37.50 per person is not included in any of our package prices. Most airlines now include this cost in the price of a ticket. If they do not, you will need to pay the Belize Departure Tax directly to the airport authorities at Philip S. Goldson International Airport, on the date of your departure.
