Central America slim figure doesn't give much room for looping itineraries.
The easiest way to cover large areas is by flying and if you have only a couple of weeks (or less) and want to get to know a place, you're best sticking with one country, or maybe two.
To this end, we have designed a flexible Vacation-Package for the independent traveler. A way for you to experience the very best of Belize and Guatemala--including the World Heritage sites of Antigua and Tikal along with Panajachel, situated on the shores of Lake Atitlan and called by writer Aldous Huxley, the prettiest lake in the world and Chichicastenango, site of the largest and most colorful indigenous market in the region.
You can start your trip whenever you like, from either Belize or Guatemala, and do whatever parts you like, for as long as you like. Availability during Easter and Christmas weeks are limited, so for those dates you should make your final plans well in advance. If you would like to visit Chichicastenango, you should plan your itinerary to coincide with their market days (Thursdays & Sundays).
A great value, Itineraries include everything you need for a fun, trouble-free trip--all necessary air and ground transportation, nice hotel rooms, lots of options to choose from and some memorable excursions--for a Great Price!
WHAT WE DO - We will secure your rooms and facilitate air and ground transportation between your destinations in Guatemala and Belize. We can also arrange tours for your visit to the Petén Region in Guatemala as well as Belize.
NOTES - Antigua tour options are readily available through your hotel or the numerous travel agencies and we suggest that you make your final decision for tours including Panajachel, Volcan Pacaya and Chichicastenango, after your arrival.
Due to a unilateral change in Guatemalan regulations, Belizean and Guatemalan air-carriers, are no longer able to provide direct air service between Belize and Guatemala, including Flores, effective November 16, 2007.
We hope this situation to be resolved sometime in 2008. However, as of now, there is no word when flights will resume. Currently, transport options from
Flores to Belize and Ambergris Caye are over-land through San Ignacio and
the Cayo District.
