DAY 1 – BELIZE CITY /
ORANGE WALK
After clearing immigration and customs we are
met by our Belizean guide and travel along the
Northern Highway to Orange
Walk Town.

DAY 2 –ORANGE WALK /
LAMANAI ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE /
CROOKED TREE WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
Morning /
Following breakfast, we board our boat for the ride to the Mayan ruins of Lamanai.
After arriving we will have the chance to explore the ruins and have the opportunity
to look for siting of birds such as Red-Lored Parrot, Blue-Crowned
Mot-mot, Collared Aracari Toucan, Lineated & Pale-billed
Woodpeckers, and Black-Headed & Violaceous Togons. In addition,
Yucatan Black Howler Monkeys are usually seen or heard here..
Afternoon /
Following a picnic lunch, we return to Orange Walk Town and then make the drive
to Crooked Tree Village located within the Crooked
Tree Wildlife Sanctuary.

DAY 3 – CROOKED TREE
WILDLIFE SANCTUARY / BELIZE ZOO
Morning /
Early morning birding by boat on the lagoons at Crooked Tree in search of birds.
Waterbirds will be the main target with special emphasis on finding the Jabiru, Sungrebe and Agami
Herons. Depart forSAN IGNACIO RESORT HOTEL after a late breakfast.
Afternoon /
Stop at the Belize
Zoo and for lunch at one of the local restaurants. Later we arrive in San
Ignacio Town and your accommodations at San Ignacio Resort Hotel.

DAY 4 – SAN IGNACIO RESORT HOTEL /
CANOEING
A half day canoe trip down the beautiful Macal
River, while canoeing we hope to see Gray-necked
Wood rails, kingfishers, Black phoebes and
more.

DAY 5– SAN IGNACIO RESORT HOTEL
/ GREEN PARROT INN PLACENCIA
Morning /
Transfer to Placencia with a stop at the Blue Hole
National Park for a few hours of birding. The Blue Hole has a number of
trails to hike within the park. Some of the more unusual birds known to this
area includes the White Hawk, Spotted-Wood Quail, Crested
Guans, Lovely Cotinga, Keel-Billed Toucans, Red-Legged
Honey Creepers, and Slaty-tailed Trogons.
Afternoon /
We check into our accommodations at Green Parrot Beach Houses. After a short orientation, we are free to explore the beach,
lagoon and village-town of Placencia.
DAYS 6 & 7 - GREEN PARROT
BEACH HOUSES
Two days at GREEN PARROT Inn with Snorkeling trip
to Laughing Bird Caye.
Additional Options (at additional cost for persons
that elect)
DAY 8 –GREEN PARROT
/ BELIZE CITY
Morning transfer to Placencia airstrip for flight
back to Belize International for your return
flight home or onward destination.
