Cave Tubing
Explore the Caves Branch river-cave system ....

Enter an exciting realm where rivers disappear into the underworld as you float on inner tubes with only your headlamp to lead the way. Glide past entrances from above, filtering mists of jungle light, as you float through underground river caves sparkling with mica-studded stalactites and stalagmites filled with 1,000-year-old pottery shards, statues of fertility gods and Mayan footprints. Continue past an underground waterfall leading into the "Crystal Cathedral", a spiritual place used by the ancient Maya.

Guided Exploration is by rubber inner tube.
Some underground hiking and jungle trekking is required.

"Jaguar Paw" Cave Tubing

Cross the Caves Branch River and hike upstream with your inner tube. A walk to the third cave takes about 30 minutes and you're back where you started in 2 hours. Highlights include an underground waterfall.

A hike upstream to the 5th cave involves some climbing inside the cave and some fitness is required. Hiking time takes 1.5 hours with total trip time at 3.5 hours.

Caves Branch
This is an exhilarating way to end your inland exploration. If you're coming from San Ignacio and heading to Belize International, there's time for the (3 cave) - 2 hour trip. If you have a late departure flight or are coming from or heading to Caye Caulker or Ambergris Caye, then we recommend a (5 cave) - 3.5 hour cave-tubing option.

Degree of Difficulty -
Challenging; ability to maneuver an inner tube required. Shorts and T-shirts are suggested along with a strong pair of tennis shoes or hiking boots.

You will be getting wet so bring along extra clothes. It's also a good idea to bring a disposable camera along, just in case it gets wet.

"Jaguar Paw" Canopy Tours

The Aerial Trek Zip Line at Jaguar Paw takes visitors on an exhilarating trip through the dense tropical rainforest canopy. Secured by a harness with feet dangling free, zip line riders will traverse from one suspended platform to next, whizzing past a stunning display of tropical flora and fauna, exotic birds and even black howler monkeys.

To finish the Aerial Trek, daring participants will repel to the rainforest floor from the final platform for a thrilling one-of-a-kind jungle adventure.

The zip trail includes eight platforms, complete with handrails and a double-cable zip line for added safety. Suspended approximately 70 to 80 feet from the ground, each landing platform is six feet in diameter and the platforms are set from 100 to 245 feet apart, allowing the zip line adventure to cover a lot of ground.
More information about Zip-line Canopy Tours.

You can do Cave-Tubing and the Canopy Tour as part of Vacation Package or as an add on tour while staying at San Ignacio Resort Hotel or Windy Hill Resort.
