The Jungle
Lodge "Hotel Posada de la Selva" is ideally situated within the
Tikal National Park and offers
the closest accommodations to the temples and
pyramids. A short 1 km walk takes you directly to
the the Central Plaza and the very heart of Tikal.
 The Main thatched-building complex houses the Reception
area, Dining room and Bar & Lounge. Here you can relax after an exciting day of discovery and exploration, relax with a refreshing drink from the well-stocked bar and later, enjoy a candle lit dinner, sampling a variety of international cuisine prepared to international standards.
The Jungle
Lodge also has a swimming pool where you can
enjoy a refreshing swim in the heat of the day,
catch up on your favorite reading or simply relax
and admire nature's handiwork.
The spacious
rooms have large private bathrooms
with hot water and ceiling fan. Bungalows have two matrimonial-size beds. Junior Suites have 1 king-size bed and 1 folding sofa-bed (ideal for children).
High ceilings and the jungle canopy above keep the rooms cool and each room has
its own private porch with lounge chairs and a symphony, courtesy of the jungle. |

Paved footpaths lead through the beautifully landscaped
grounds to the 36 Bungalow and 2 Junior Suite accommodations. Keel-billed toucans, Oscillated
Turkeys, Howler and Spider Monkeys and gray foxes are some of
the wildlife you can expect to see passing through
the hotel grounds.
NEW for 2009 - Jungle Lodge offers 24 hour electricity for its guests and is currently the only lodging facility within Tikal to offer this amenity. |
