Conflict between 2 related communities over ownership rights to land, which has resulted in homes burnt to the ground with loss of life on both sides. I went along with 4 social worker students from the University of San Carlos in Quetzaltenango (Xela) and record their interviews with the respective community leaders. (Posted 12/16/09)

This small, river-hillside town
(pop. 12,000) is situated between the Macal and Mopan Rivers and is alive with character and characters and is a center for Eco-Tourism in the area and is where duPlooy Travel is located. (Posted 6/02/09)

My first Tikal Video!
Flores - Guatemala
Home of the 3-Wheel Tuc Tuc
This small island town of 600 was undergoing major construction in May 2009, when this video was taken. ALL the main streets had large trenches running down the middle, awaiting installation of an underground electric system. Will be very nice when its finished though.
I didn't show this construction in the video, so if you have visited Flores before, you may be wondering why some of the principle streets were not included.... "Next time".
